In 7th grade, students take World History – Medieval and Early Modern Times. This year-long course covers the civilizations of Medieval Europe, the Middle East, West Africa, China and Japan, the Americas, and the European Renaissance. In this course, students have opportunities to compare how each civilization governed its people, produced and distributed food and products, how they structured their societies, their artistic and cultural achievements, and their religious beliefs and organizations.
In 8th grade, students take United States History – Colonial Times through Reconstruction. This year-long course establishes the foundations of American democracy, traces the development of the US economy, and examines the diversity of our society.
