World Languages
The World Languages department offers two courses for both 7th and 8th graders: Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.
Spanish 1 enables the student to communicate about daily activities at a survival level. Topics include greetings, family, meals, weather, home, friends, talking about oneself and others. At the end of this course the students will be able to communicate at the novice level.

Spanish 2 builds on the skills introduced in Spanish 1 and enables the student to communicate about daily activities at a functional level. At the end of this course, the student should be able to understand, speak, read from authentic texts and write for self-expression, and make himself/herself understood by a native speaker.
