Earl Warren Social- Emotional Activities & Resources
SDUHSD and EWMS are committed to caring for our kids with social-emotional activities and resources. If your child needs assistance, EWMS has trained staff; including counselor, school support specialist, school psychologist and administrators who are available to support students during the school day. For more information, the SDUHSD has a Student Support & Wellness Page HERE with additional resources.
Here are some of the ways we care for our students and families:
- Seahawk Shoutouts - Students earn a Shoutout by demonstrating empathy, engagement, kindness, personal responsibility and respect. Shoutout recipients are entered into a bi-weekly drawing for prizes like gift cards (generously sponsored by our PTSA) or other prizes.
- Seahawk Salutes - Students earn a Salute with outstanding behavior and actions. Salute recipients receive a special lunch celebration on a monthly basis.
- Red Ribbon Week - Red Ribbon Week, a campaign to prevent drug use, takes place annually in October.
- Wellness Week - Wellness Week is celebrated annually in March.
- Assemblies - Student assemblies are held periodically throughout the school year and provide our staff with an opportunity to inform and enrich.
- No Place For Hate - EWMS is a designated No Place For Hate school. We all have a role to play in combating bias and bullying as a mens to stop the escalation of hate.
