Students will be learning about the principles of design and applying them to the digital fields of photography, imaging and web design throughout the year in this digital art class. Digital photography will be used to capture images and create a student portfolio, as well as provide a source of photos to be manipulated by using Adobe Photoshop. The students will also create their own identity package (logo, letterhead, business card) using Adobe Illustrator, as well as use Illustrator to create graphic symbols. Finally, combining the two programs, the students will create a magazine cover and an advertising campaign before creating a web site designed especially to show off the work created over the course of the year!
